Do I have to use Logojet every day or can I use it on a monthly basis?

The key to a well functioning LogoJET printer is regular use and regular maintenance. Therefore we highly recommend daily usage (5 days per work week average) and maintenance at the end of each period of use. To avoid the printer head clogging that a lack of use can cause, we recommend printing images or nozzle checks to keep the printer heads fired with inks. This can be performed manually or via an automatic software function using our Harvey Head Cleaner software. Please refer to the LogoJET maintenance section of the manual for proper instructions. You can submit a request for a copy of this guide to support@logojet.ca . If the printer is left unused for more than 4 days we recommend that it be prepared for storage mode which includes flushing out the system. This is a simple two step process (flushing out printer head and capping station lines) which may take up to 10 minutes to perform. Please refer to the manual for these instructions.

What is the weight and size of one LogoJet Express printing system?

The LogoJET Express (our most desktop friendly and compact) printer weighs 22 kgs (49 lbs) and requires a firm and stable desktop to be supported on to avoid any shaking during the printing process. The dimension of one printer is 19.5" x 13.4" x 10". With its sleek and compact design, LogoJet Express can be displayed in retail, kiosk and office environments. The overall size is comparable to an HP all in one fax/copier/printer device.

What is the LogoExpress(r) program that comes with the printer and can I use my own software?

LogoJETExpress software is a printing tool that was designed to be out of the box friendly and easy to use. You can use any flattened image file: .emf, .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, .bmp. taken from the internet. Drop and drag it into the position in software and it will AUTOMATICALLY, SIZE and CENTER the image for you.

You can easily crop photos to a desired area and shape which will also, AUTOMATICALLY, SIZE and CENTER the image for you.

You can type in your own text on various lines, change color and font style and size as you wish.

If you are using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw, Quark Express, the imprinting image/logo will have to be exported or saved as the above file extensions and it is suggested to input the size to a maximum of 550 pixels on either the width or height, whichever is the longest proportion. This will ensure the maximum golf ball imprint without any distortion or "frown effects" on the golf ball.

If you don't want to use LogoExpress, the printer is also compatible with any third party software. LogoJET has templates available for popular products in .eps format.

No. The type of ink that the LogoJET machine uses is a blended oil-based solvent mixture customized only for use on the LogoJET machine and in conjunction with fixative sprays. LogoJET has perfected it's formula to work with our proprietary ink cartridges which are refillable and can be used for 6 months to 1 year. Although using third party inks may seem somewhat compatible, use of other third party ink will risk voiding the warranty and limit the support that LogoJET can provide.

What kind of golf balls can the LogoJet machine print on?

For the past 6 years, LogoJET has mastered the variables in printing onto a wide variety of substrates, which includes all golf ball brands that consist if variable multi-component polyurethane coatings. What's the difference between the LogoJET printing system and other smaller ones I have seen overseas, for example in China?

This has become an increasingly common inquiry since in recent times some have found a similar printer in China (that, it must be noted, has copied many of our LogoJET images ) for between $500.00 to $1,000.00. As regards quality, there really is no comparison as this is a novelty printer that comes with limited support and is not meant for production use. The main differences are not only size and functionality, but the small China printer uses water based inks. Such inks do not provide durability hard surfaces that your Corporate customers come to expect from a printed product. In fact the system uses typical Canon ink cartridges that you can get from Staples.

LogoJET's systems, although very compact, are made very well and can be used in high production capacity environments. Our inks are solvent, waterproof and scratch resistant.

In fact, our customers include good names like; Cleveland Golf/Srixon Japan, Bridgestone Japan, Ball Chain, Magna Tags.com, Personalization Mall, www.golfballs.com (Internet's largest golf retailer), www.personalcreations.com (Internet's largest online personalization company) and many more that rely on our systems to deliver quality products to both the consumer and the corporate client.
